Bioinformation Systems e.V.: Aims and scope

In order to contribute to fulfilling these requirements, the non-profit association "Bioinformation Systems e.V." (BIS) has been founded. It supports:

  • the information transfer of research results from the field of molecular biology, molecular genetics, biotechnology, and biomedicine, to their application
  • training in the field of bioinformatics / computational biology
  • electronic publishing
  • relevant databases
  • national and international scientific data communication
  • virtual scientific congresses and workshops
  • relevant research and development activities
